Poems
Oct 2019
Miles Davis Statue, Alton Illinois
you lean back
like you always did
and blow
wearing your bell bottom slacks
cool
like you always were
I hear you now
maybe I always have
I just didn't know
it's all I ever wantedΒ Β to do
paint a picture
lean back
see
feel
and hear the music
so please understand
I'm not trying to be you
I'm just trying
