Poems
Aug 2019
I’d pull my heart out and pour it a drink if I thought it’d stay.
I hope one day you forgive yourself.
I hope you never have to know how much it hurts.
I hope you’ll turn to face the sun, so it can tell the universe just how beautiful you are.
I hope that you’ll see who I see when I look at you.
I hope a butterfly lands on you.
I hope one day you cry because you’re happy.
I hope that someone tickles your heart.
I hope you get to live at least one dream.
I hope I see you before you see me. So that I can have a moment. To court you, love you, and leave you. Before you do the same to me.
I hope. Not for me. For you.
