I walk the street
Of the town labelled "Iroko hill"
I found this tree beautifully lined
The seeds and fruits dully aligned
Like a burning smile
On a sunny sky
The branch and leaves
Looks gorgeously green
Like a flowery beam
A sirius; it seems
The trunk and branch; tall and inclined
The flower glows
I wish she was mine
But I got the answer No
I picked a seed from a ***** branch
To give me hope
I plant this seed into the ground
I hope it grows
That after some years; if I'm still around
It'd yield a rose
But here I am
Stuck with this zombie plant
Although the leaves are bright too
But it doesn't outshine you
It's ego dare not near your might
It's just a subset of your light
So until the sun and moon collide
To eclipse my darkened sky
I won't give up the search
I'd hold on to this very path
Hoping you'd change your mind
And please be mine
