I was the last
of the old Victorian gardeners
the 'cap in hand'
sort of chap
I did six acres
on my own
mowing lawns
and tending flower beds
just getting help
with the vast amount of leaves
in the fall
Now the landscapers turn up
and do it all
in one day
(in a fashion)
My how things have changed
