Poems
Mar 2019
mechanical as spring
I’m sorry.
I
can’t
can’t
can’t
get it out of my head,
the dread locks in place
and will never release me.
It has somehow become
a piece of the puzzle
and fits together perfectly;
neatly nestled into
that special place
in my brain
like a bear in his cave
waiting out the darkest days
waiting for that signal to awaken him
waiting for that spring to release
