She stepped to the edge of her world
Cloaked in night, her mind would not quell
Wails everlasting, endless woe
And as she spread her wings, she fell

Exhaustion stole away her
Life, desolate of all as well
Not a spark of soul to recur
And as she spread her wings, she fell

Jagged rocks and frigid waves await
Silver moon in her gaze a spell
Cloud blown in efflorescent fate
And as she spread her wings, she fell

Lone tear in fate to defy
Soft breeze her calm fear to dispel
A smile to death for angels fly
And as she spread her wings, she fell

She stepped to the edge of her world
And as she spread her wings, she fell
