Night spreads out
subtle like a child's steps
on sand

small feet
walking on star shine

Kingdom's of majesty
sprawled out above him

a young soul
feeling something tingle
in the pit of knowing

deeper than the Pacific Ocean
a whisper body surfing tides of wisdom

glints of another life
rattle down his spine

vibrates like another universe
opening it's eyes for the first time.

Dune ants scrambling after rains
soaked every grain of their stock pile dinner.

It takes a team to dry out each piece.

Across the shores of time
love is working on another poem
in secret.

The child stops in his tracks
a teardrop falls
like an ancient memory
he just can't place.

Light cuts inside him
an entire ocean listens,
quietly smiling.
