No idea of where you're heading
Continually treading life
Through shark infested waters
Waiting for the school to bite

You know they smell the blood
From the daily beating up
That this world loves to give
Surrounded by the fins
Always swimming in
The deep end

Like some poolside game
Paddling your way through life
As you're tossed the ball
You drop it every time

Floundering around
Close to being drowned
Trying desperately to get a grip
With life's sides always so slick
Having yet to learn the trick
Once again in
The deep end

Not much that you can do
In water dark and blue for life
In the churning of its sea
It's hard to see beneath sometimes

Life so cold you find you're froze
As something nibbles on your toes
So sure this time you're near the end
Where you feel you've often been
Swim little fishy swim
Always swimming in
The deep end
