all the poetry that i own
i started writing down on stones
jagged rock upon the ground
that i find lying around

i put them all in a bag
pretty as you please that i gift wrap
bring them all home to you
give you time to read them through

place the ones that you like
in the garden for others to find
the rest we take down to the lake
where we spend the day skipping them away
