In silver moonlight's soft and shimmering glow
Fine breeze did light upon the pine trees blow
Sweet music playing, floating, filled the air
And slowly, gently, warm began to grow

I staring, standing, hollow, lonesome there
Did start when chance I saw my lady fair
Then taking hands we two began to dance
With joyful smiles, spinning free of care

A wondrous night, a thrilling blithe romance
It felt so right it could not be by chance
Our hearts on fire that through our eyes did gleam
Locked on the other in happy tranquil trance

So caught was I, I clutched, was this a scheme
A foolish whim, a quaint delirious theme
But then I thought, "What matters why or how?"
"She's mine! I'd stay! I'd die within this dream
