I started for a journey to the drowning sun,
To cross the horizon of the golden ocean.

I steered to reach before the waves turn black,
Restless tides were like the ticking of a clock.

Goodbye to my rugged coast
on you, I was born
Left you for the lust and pride,
did not make me torn.

I rowed with all my hope to make the sun my tame,
But the gap was all the same from that dimming flame.

Molten sun with golden light vanished in the deep,
Perhaps it was Poseidon's, as a precious keep.

The course was ceaseless, only had I known,
Gold became darkness, left me all alone.
