As we search for greed
We fail to abnegate
Because we lust for needs

And as we vacillate inbetween
Desire and ephemeral peace
We advocate the disease

Feelings of wistfulness
Become more vociferous
When we fail to possess the pristine

Selfishness consumes wealth and wish
And sacrifices Truth

And when that offering plate comes around
We never account for what's due

In God we trust
On every dollar we purchase
In search for the sickness
Of our doom
