The piercing eyes stare at me
With love, care.
Filling the abyss with smiles
I can’t help but
Smile.

The eyes look away with glee
I feel the air
Toxic fumes rise for miles
I can’t help but
Frown

The piercing eyes look back at me
With concern
It’s as if they don’t see me
I wave my hand wildly
The eyes look past me
I have become
Nothing.
