The ******
The flunky
The automaton monkey

The husband
The wife
Living half the life
Half as bright

The weak
The strong
Living half as long
As the dumb

The hammer
The knife
The enamour
Of life
Sliced
Into bite size

The lies
The truth
The old
The youth
The spies
The mutes
The bold
The brutes

Locked in cages
Blocked in mazes
Mocked in stages

Until grounded
Until pounded into the dirt
Until astounded
In floundered
Meandering
Of the meaning
Demeaning
The reason
For being
Right

Retreating
From the lesions
Where the light
Shone through
In pursuit
Of the truths
You already knew
It is all there
Glaring back at you
