Dec 2018
the path that lies ahead
is knotted and webbed
with woven wanderlust
imagine the weeds and roots uprooted
all this came to her instantly
in flashes she could barely capture
the thoughts flooded her skull
skillfully she muttered
important sounds that shook her soul
with a tremble and a tingling in her bones
her whole body became the earth
bountiful daughter
are you everywhere at once
or still in bed when no one's home
in this journey i am lost
longing unto nothing
and captured by the glow
in love with union
he spent most nights alone
or were they ever really there
to keep him company through the darkness
those solitary passengers of time
still the flicker of a candle
reminds him of the fire in her eyes
