You
In a swift-paced world
Love is but a conquest
Is it possible to slow down?
I question my mind
Silent to my own ears
Why does he make my heart pound so?
I reassure my mouth
Despite my trembling fingertips
Just laugh, it will pass like the others!
Like a young child
Naive as such
I stumble through ever-changing calamity
Drawn to you
By the tug of heartstrings
My emotions drag me down
You lift me up on angel wings
I'd freeze my flesh
And scorch it too
Just to find a day
To be with you
