I dream it.
Thought I saw you.
Except it was an illusion.

You weren't here.
You weren't there.
That when reality set in.

So I started all over once more.
With my dreams, my illusions, my reality.
Am I the only one affected by these three?

We drive in rain to one side of town.
Just to notice on this side there's no rain at all.
True facts of reality.

We see magicians parlay some tricks.
Truly believing they are slick.
Using illusion of the hands to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

We very aware when all our bills arrive.
That the reality is they must be paid.
And this is no fantasy.

No dreams, no illusion but the plain truth of reality.
