In the darkness of night,
There will be a light.
It may be dim and fading,
But it's staying.

It hasn't left yet,
So don't fret.
Melt the ice off your heart,
And let it all restart.

Light another candle,
The flame I can handle.
It'll be alright,
There's no reason to fight.

The sky will fill with stars,
And heal your scars.
Stop hiding yourself behind that wall,
There's no reason to stall.

Come on out,
Go ahead and shout.
Finally see the light,
And see I was right.

I see that fire reflecting in your eyes,
I can detect all your lies.
So don't you dare.
Don't you dare.

The light burns,
The sun returns.
Darkness never does last,
That's in the past.
The dark can't exist without the light, vise versa. After all, you can't make a puppet shadow in the pitch black, can you?
