Aug 2018
i carefully wrap my sorrow and pain up tight in a cloth and keep it hidden away.
some days, even i forget where it's gone but nights,
no, mornings,
like this is when i remember.
carefully unwrapping it,
i hold it to my chest like my favorite childhood toy.
suddenly, i feel alone again.
minutes turn into hours and before i know it,
my tears flow from my eyes,
i don't even try to hold it back.
