I can't seem to bridge
The gap between
Who I am
Who I was
What I do unaligned with what I've done
It's all still unbelievable to me
Looking at where I'm from
How did I end up with so much to give?
So much love
A tainted past
A broken man
Washed out lines drawn in the sand
Yet here I stand, unafraid
Letting go of mistakes oft made
The past no longer consumes my day
I'm whole now in a blessed way
Who I was
Who I am
Standing strong in victory yet again
The weight of the world brought me to my knees
But standing back up brought me
To being the man I was meant to be
In recovery
