Her tears hit my chest like bullets,
Her makeup stained my shirt like blood,
She held me tight like a daughter who would never see her father again,
And as she looked at me, eyes bloodshot, losing their innocence ,
I realized I could be her everything,
Or she could be stronger without me.
On a cold country night, in cold love.
