Consumed
While in the limelight of earthly pause,
and thus consumed by ancient laws;
We learn to keep our thoughts at bay,
in fragments torn and blown away.
In horror's face our lives stand still,
then wander up the rugged hills;
Like snowfall's magic in release,
our hearts align in search for peace.
Then overwhelmed by ghastly powers,
which torture gardens' innocent flowers;
Within our minds we'll hear a voice,
inspiring us to make a choice.
So why exist in bleakness reign,
pretending life is just a game ?
Don't climb into the devil's lair,
when angels call through fragrant air.
And thus in candlelight appears,
the balm of rainy nights so clear;
With waters' rush upon the soul,
where secrets lie and soon unfold.
