She saw through me
And I told her that if she'd dare
To commit to the stare
I'm not what she thinks me, be

She doth dare to commit to the stare
I said o'er the light is more dark
Her eyes turned to glare
My demons now freely walk

She saw through my eyes and into my soul
She saw the hell within me
She saw the wars I fight within me,
but she couldn't accept it

She saw good and perfection, and I saw nothing anymore
I was a good man with her
I was a wonderful person with her

I'm left in the dark now
Some might even call me vacant
I'd just say I'm lost
