There was so much anticipation
I wondered a lot
About how exciting it will be
Once I know you
Know more about you
What makes you the way you are
So special in every sense.

It took me a while
There were so many huddles
Things did not work out
As I wanted
As I planned
As I thought it will
But finally it happened

You opened up
Little by little
Like a lotus bud
With time
You were not a stranger to me any more
I started to know you
In fits and starts
Like a collage
You appeared
In my mind’s eye
Amazing, fascinating
And worthwhile to go after

With time
Again you became mysterious
Amorphous
Nebulous
Making me to work hard
To be close to you
To be familiar
With all your moves

As time passes by
You still remain a moving target
Sought by many like me
To understand
You, the nature of things.
