I asked God for a day
He gave me a night
I asked for focus
He gave me silence

The darkness
the stillness
behind the clouds the stars hide
they may have conspired

My fingers were lost
to the weird atmosphere
the cold air
that harshly torments

Each step was a grain of sand
falling into the bottom glass
Each step further is towards doom
that this chance will break loose

I knew nothing
I only knew this has to go
trying to mend the “best” words
yet i knew there weren’t even the “right” words

Haste - A few moments are left
before this night will be waste
or a fulfillment
of a few day’s plea

And so I uttered
the words that might bring
shock and disgust
But I never feared

For I know
no matter what happens
no matter, the time, the distance
we will always be friends

And i have always loved it that way.
