Taken from my name
Idiosyncratic patterns,
And here and there
These spaces
You remember
And complete
Putting them back together
Making the word neat.

But these missing letters
Like keys that no longer play
On our old piano
Show that I stayed,
Shared with you a life
Reflected in the genes
But mostly the wonder
Of the world that
I dreamed.
