Untitled
My flesh goosed up
while my eyes
sized up
the mirror man
who was manically
laughing,
imprisoned
by our
momentary madness.
Wasted form
fitted for debasement,
consciousness
ready to face
self-denigration.
Body heat
bubbled up
like wild waves
of red fury
ready to rupture
and spew
hot lava.
Hate bled from my body
as I stared in defiance
longing to commit
depraved acts
of violence
against myself.
Pain pushed me
to escape
this reality,
as I longed for
the sick fog
of slumber
to cease
this sadness.
