When push came to shove
The time came for action
Life was moving forward
I held myself back

Tongue frozen
My words swallowed
Eyes closed
To the future before me

Was this what I wanted?
Would it fit who I am?
Would I go through the hardship
And find glitz and glam

Am I being blinded?
I second guessed
And over thought it
Doubts peeled away the excitement

To reveal fear
From all the changes
I hid from all the questions
Wallowed in contemplation

As I untangled from confusion
Found ration and reason
The time came and went
To make a decision
