Lying here, I reach out
Expecting.
There is nothing.
You.
You are hundreds of miles away.
And, though it feels,
Feels as though you are beside me,
Where you belong.
Expecting...
You.
Yet, there is nothing.

Sleeping, I reach out
Expecting yet again.
Still nothing.
You.
You sweep through my dreams
And I feel,
Feel your arms around me.
Where they belong, calming.
Expecting...
You.
Yet, there is nothing.

Come back to me.
