TO THE MOUNTAINTOP
Don't raise me up
to make me what I'm not,
I can not stand it.
Bring me down to my level
so they won't see my nakedness.
I am on a different League,
called for this lonely path
you will never understand it
A path trodden only by the very few
I choose to follow.
Only the chosen follow it.
The wise follow it,
though it be lonely.
The weak and weary
cannot walk that path.
It is meant for only the courageous.
The ancient sages walked it
Our ancestors walked it.
There is a divine price tag
for anyone who wants
to follow the path.
Don't ask me to follow
your dreams for me,
it is only a dream.
Or follow your direction
to the unknown path,
you seldom knows the way.
I choose a different pathway,
For I hear a different
drummer from within,
Calling out to me.
I go the way of the ancients,
i will honor the call
and follow the inner path
for the strong pull of the
almighty draws me forth.
Yes,this path leads to the mountain top.
