of a centurion water oak
To parties gathering berries -
in the form of Whitetail does
To spearfishers in touch with
rushing waters , to windy woodland -
celebrations paying homage to -
Chieftain fathers
In the name of soft-shelled turtles -
exploring red clay flanks , to the ghosts of -
warriors protecting her riverbanks* ...
