As we consider
or disparage this
wrenching title..
We are told stories
some long hidden
of camaraderie
transcending fear
real freedom..
Might we today
look beneath all
of life's struggles
and dislocations
and find there
this same Gift..
Visiting the Gift
we might find what  
has been forgotten:
we are that Gift...
