I shall not ask why
Only pray that you’re happy

You took my life

The day you forfeited yours
Did you think through the pain
and sadness left

Or was your own
Too much of a burden

I would see
The stars sparkle
In your eyes
One last time
Before I let
the earth consume you

Peace is with you now

I will hold on to mine
To carry your burden
Of why
