The old lady next door
shuffles along
a leaf covered drive
wearing a green coat
and green matching shoes
as she ventures off to food shopping like she's done everyday!
not that she needed
any more food
but more just to get out the house
and feel the nature fresh air
upon her tired skin!
Everday she either goes
to Morrison or Tesco
mainly for a chat
she's love meeting and talking
to everyone.
She's ninety one years old
and nothing holds her back
she's fought skin cancer
with such bravery
she is truly a lovely rainbow
full of wondeful colourful
smiles **
Inspired by my next door neighbour who is 91 and as strong as an ox her determination inspires me no end x

I don't normally write longer poems but lately it just feels okay to do so x
I be working on this one a little more x
