Truth can falter under the weight of fear
though it be struggling
though in every way, its trying
to be heard, to be reckoned
when Consequence lays its fang bare
it can lead an honest man to err
and as another breathes his last
guilt encompasses thus.
Happened to a friend of mine. I couldn't help but make a poem out of it.
