I can’t write happy poems
It’s not because I’m sad
Or depressed
It’s simply because sad poems come naturally
Talk about a broken heart
Or losing someone
And you have a sad poem
Happy poems are harder
Yes, I could right about the sun
How it’s light gives you hope
But I prefer the rain
I could right about flowers
And their natural beauty
But I prefer the snow
My poems may not be happy
But that’s because I don’t want them to be
