Color Me Comatose
Don't color me comatose
If there is breath still in these lungs
Don't fade to black just yet
If there are songs left to be sung
I want a romance that crashes
Like the moon into the ocean
I want a history that archaeologists
Dig up to set in motion
Don't drown me in sorrows
If there's a smile creasing my face
Don't chain a ball to my blistered feet
If there are still rainbows left to chase
I want an epiphany that explodes
Like stars gasping their final breath
I want a heartbeat that is loud enough
To pierce both the eardrums of death
Don't color me comatose
If there's a blink still in my eyes
Don't forget me when I take my leave
There's still a chorus left to reprise
