Trying to tickle trout
but there ain't none about,
under the banking is dry.

I'll try again later
when the alligator
has gone
until then
there's none
for my tea.

Sending the scouts in
but there still ain't
no trout in
the stream.

So it's potato and leek
and we've had it all week,
I'm fed up to the back teeth
with that
.
I would try for some
flat fish
or cat fish
even dog fish,

I wish I had brought
my rod.
