An old family of friends of mine
They still live the religious life
Tethered to aΒ state of mind
An enigmatic moral plight
Separate from all others
Outside their chosen vale
They call each other
Sister and Brother
And believe that we're in
Hell

Forty hours a week at work
The rest of their lives devoted to church

Desensitized their children
Escape through the shadows and cracks
The woman server the master
It was written, somewhere in the past

And once I lived among them
In the passage of my soul
Until my third eye opened
Unto this worldΒ I know
