Please reason with me,
Don't bruise me with anger.
Those same loving arms can
Push me towards danger.

Your words are a flame that
Leaves me engulfed.
The passion, the love,
The fervid insults.

Disregard my intentions.
Why treat me like that?
Don't matter-- you call me,
I'm coming right back.

I'm running right back,
Pushing tears to the side.
I told you it's fine,
But baby, I lied.

Paint little white lies
So you picture I'm strong.
Left my pride to do right,
But you still say I'm wrong.

How am I wrong?
All my efforts are true.
Please give the credit and
Props where it's due.

I accept all your flaws, I
Excuse your mistakes.
Can I get the same back?
What the hell does it take
