================

on the soil
the scent of rain
said to flow
from the god's veins

smell like purple
fragrance rare
I'd like to bottle it
to wear!

petrified woods
where toads do climb
from the soil
after the rains

be ye wary
to say the least
they have a sweat
which can **** beasts!

~~~
come, my children
perhaps you'll see
how our nose
*can set us free
In Greek
PETRI: stone
CHOR: water said to run
from the veins of the gods
Colorado River Toads
lie dormant under the soil
waiting for the summer
monsoons, when they
errupt from their slumber
there is a substance
they exude which is
poisonous to dogs.
some people "lick toads"
to get high... ugh!
