I've known love
I've bathed in its blood
I've drowned in its seas
I've been lost in its oceans
I've been stranded alone on its shores
I've been broken by its beauty
I've danced naked and mad in its lust
I've shared its secrets
I've told its lies
I've held its truths
I've been tied down to its bed
I've been kissed by its moons
I've burned within its flames
I've painted its name in languages unknown
I've ripened and rotted on its branch
I've died in its arms
And I've lost love
And I've cursed love
Only to find it
Smiling playfully
Inviting me to know it again
And I see it
In the color and magic
Of the stars
Spilling out
From the fabric
Of the dreams
Swaying in the wind
And crashing in the waves
Of the oceans
And the skies
Of the beauty
In the intricate illustrations
Of the story of your soul
