My dreams are great liars
They make me feel as though they were real
As if you were just there
I feel the softness of your cheeks
And the warmth of your neck
I hold onto your hands
Like railings on a steep one way bridge
And as soon as Iā€™m about to fall
I wake up in the misery of reality
Where there is no you
But there is still me
I count how many hours I have left
At least before the clock alarms
And as I close my eyes
I could not think of anything but you
Only to realize that you are only a few sleeps away.
