MR LA MADRID
Poems
May 2017
her.
you always say her name
i can still hear it,
every syllable,
even when i sleep.
ricocheting incessantly
inside my hollowed brain,
as if it was my own
to remember.
until i wished for it to end
and to my surprise, it did.
but even then,
i never heard you utter my name
in replacement of hers.
instead, i stopped hearing
from you completely.
