I'm at the bar
Drinking all alone
Cuz the club
Just isn't my tone.

I get my drink
And you walked in
With your hair slicked
Asking for gin.

Ten shots later,
I'm calling you baby
Asking if maybe
You'd like to come home.
Really I'm lonely,
You don't seem unwilling,
So maybe we can bone.

Let's not go too fast,
Let's fumble neath the covers,
Put your body on me.
I cannot last
But let's act like lovers
Pretend I'm hotter than what you see.
And when the sun rises
Please don't quickly go
Cause I don't want to be left
With your shadow
(Woah woah woah)

Now the sky brightened
Other side is empty
And you are not there.
The bed has lightened
It's almost eight-twenty
In the exit I see your hair.
I call out to you,
Askin' what I can do
For you to stay.
You turn to me,
Say "we're history",
I then realize I don't know your name.

Let's not go too fast,
Let's fumble neath the covers,
Put your body on me.
I cannot last
But let's act like lovers
Pretend I'm hotter than what you see.
And when the sun rises
Please don't quickly go
Cause I don't want to be left
With your shadow
(Woah woah woah)

Let's not go too fast,
Let's fumble neath the covers,
Put your body on me.
I cannot last
But let's act like lovers
Pretend I'm hotter than what you see.
And when the sun rises
Please don't quickly go
Cause I don't want to be left
With your shadow
(Woah woah woah)
