It was the small things he missed. Waking up after a restful sleep, with a slender arm across his chest, the warmth of her body exuding from her embrace, as she drew closer. It was skin to skin contact, a most compassionate of touches.

He could smell her, even now, her pheromones still dancing around his nostrils. But most of it was her innocence and vulnerability. Unkept hair which playfully touched the pillow as she slept. A face so beautiful as the light started to slowly draw upon it.

And when she finally awoke and raised herself out of bed, the Goddess came to life. The stretch of her body, the way her hair touches her shoulders and the smile she exuded with unconditional love…
