yesterday's lovers have flown away
leaving tired spaces where their faces used to lay
though the imprints remain embedded in your mind
caressing your belly and hugging you tight
i walk upon the broom swept streets
and like tumbleweeds i pass
through the emptiness of your grief
sweaty sheets stained with heat and soil
while we uncoil kundalini’s limitless dreams
give all that you own to the needy and forgotten
trodden on everyday by a billion jealous feet
and if you can’t do this then the price of your life is much too steep
for i can surely see that all of this is right
and you are not yet beyond your arbitrary beliefs
