The Flicker
Déjà vu directs us
As the ghostwriter depicts us
Beholden to their feelings
The movie keeps us reeling
Brought to familiar places
With familiar looking faces
Queasy churns my stomach
While logic runs amuck
I know she has connections
To the writer of the scenes
Recalling intimate details
Before they hit the screen
Memories I can't recall
Though a knowingness of it all
Emerging in fragmented facts
The mind unleashed, extracts
