Cast your hook in me
Set it deep
Into something that resembles a heart
Rip it out
For all the world to see
It’s been empty from the start
Despise me now
Wonder how
You could have ever loved this shell?
A silver tongue
Cannot become
More than a book of spells

So here we are
Picking scars
Scratching β€˜till they bleed
Sacred bonds
Sick and starved
Begging to be freed
We knew the risk
But couldn’t resist
So we rode our shooting star
It burned so bright
Before it died
Leaving who we really are
