Where the butterflies do roam my love will surely go
My heart forever young has yet to age
Though it lives within old bones covered by scared and weathered skin
And your hair is full of lightning violet dreams and all those pretty things
And though I could not breath or speak as you stood so close
I could hear a storm of butterflies beating within your chest
My lungs still filled with warmth that I only knew from love
And I would have looked away but that would not have changed my fate
For my heart had already left to fly among the wings circling your heart
and my love has gone to burn among where butterflies do roam
